Membership
PAPIER is open to all members of the post-secondary academic community involved in research and teaching for the pulp and paper industry. There are currently about 100 members in PAPIER. They are listed in here.
To join, prospective members should write to the Director, Richard Kerekes at kerekes@chml.ubc.ca.
Governance
PAPIER is governed by a Council of Directors made up of the directors of the seven university pulp and paper centres in Canada, the vice president research of FPInnovations - Paprican, and a representative of Lakehead University.
The leader of PAPIER is its chair, elected for two-year terms by the directors. Support staff for PAPIER in the form of the director and administrative support is provided by FPInnovations - Paprican.
The Council meets by teleconference about once a month and yearly at the PAPTAC Annual Meeting.
